| What are the growth opportunities? |
| |
The early career development programs at Ingersoll Rand provide a wealth of experience including exposure to our senior leadership as well as opportunities for cross-functional experience, or experience in other areas of expertise that you might not get from just working in a particular role or area. Having so many businesses and brands under our belt – we can provide tremendous opportunities for growth, both in your career and as an individual. For example – A person in the Advanced Development Program might spend one rotation working and learning at Thermo King, and then take a different position and be located in a different kind of business for their second rotation – such as moving to Club Car located in Augusta, Georgia – or to one of our business headquarters in Carmel, Indiana or Tyler, Texas.
The opportunity for growth is vast and practically unlimited – as throughout your rotations at Ingersoll Rand you will have career development discussions with a senior-level advisor to better direct you down your desired career path. Learning events and chances to continue your education are also available – as Ingersoll Rand offers reimbursement for individuals seeking their masters, along with accommodations for those that enroll in our MBA program which is in partnership with Indiana University. |
| |
| Will I have a mentor? |
| |
Entering our early career development programs means you will be given a wide variety of exposure to senior leaders – but also, you will have an advisor who is a person of senior leadership status who is not your manager, and is also in your functional area. Your advisor will provide you with the information and advice you need to help put you on the right path to reaching your career interests and goals. |
| |
| Americas |
|
| What opportunities are there for international assignments? |
| |
There are plenty of opportunities and experience for exposure to our global operations, and some international travel may occur while on rotations, depending on projects and assignments. As a future leader of Ingersoll Rand, we believe it is vital that you are provided with global experience early in your career – which will undoubtedly continue and grow as you complete your rotational program. |
| |

| |
| What happens after rotations for my early career development program are completed? |
| |
Throughout the course of your program you will undergo development discussions with your manager and advisor to determine what is the best path for you, given your career interests and goals. Towards the end of your last rotation several discussions will be conducted between you, your advisor and program manager to determine your interests and align them with our business need to find the best match for placement. In other words – you are actively involved in where you are placed – given that we have a business need for you in a particular location or business that you are interested in. |
