Ingersoll Rand is rapidly approaching our deadline and goal of validating that all our facilities are operating under a prescribed EHS management system by 2013. To comply with this standard, facilities must either obtain a third-party certification under the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards or undergo a rigorous internal validation process. Currently, 59 Ingersoll Rand facilities are ISO 14001 certified and/or OHSAS 18001 certified and 26 facilities have dual certifications. We are on track to have 100 percent of our facilities validated by the end of 2013.
In 2012, three facilities expanded their dual certifications in ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 by also achieving ISO 50001 certification for energy management:
