How can we help you?
Ingersoll Rand vs dry screw vacuum pumps aresimple, robust, reliable and efficient. The operatingprinciple is contactless so requires no lubrication orsealing fluid in the compression chamber. The result isa dry pump that offers unparalleled advantageswithout contaminating the process system.
Broad performance range
The VS dry screw vacuum pump can reach an ultimate vacuum of better than 0.1mbarA. It can work at anypressure between atmospheric pressure and ultimate vacuum. With 6 models from 150 to 780 m³/hr (50 hz)there is a wide performance range. ldeally suited to operation with Variable Speed Drive and, lf required, aRoots type booster pump with higher capacity can be added to increase pumping speed and improve ultimatevacuum significantly.
Structure advantages
1. Contactless and lubricant free reducing pitch screw for low power and temperature.
2. Advanced coating options on screws and casing for process compatibility and long life.
3. Quiet oil-lubricated timing gears maintain very fine clearances between the screws.
4. Large free-flowing suction port.
5. Large initial volume for induction before graduated internal compression.
6. Low level exhaust port for simple discharge of any condensate.
7. Large diameter free-flowing exhaust.
8. Rigid cast iron casing, machined to ultra high tolerances.
9. Spiral flow cooling water passages, with anti-corrosion internal coating to ensure efficient heat transferand good temperature control, even with poor quality cooling water.
Advanced screw design
The advanced constant diameter reducing pitch screw rotor design, enables continuous gas compression alongthe entire rotor. This reduces temperature and power. It also ensures excellent ultimate vacuum. The dischargeport is at the bottom to ensure complete drainage of any liquid.
Double ended shaft support
Non-cantilever design provides rigid rotor support with minimal vibration and excellent reliability. Especiallysuitable for harsh processes the VS has excellent liquid and dust handling capability.
Advanced shaft sealing technology
The discharge side is sealed with mechanical seal and a piston ring(labyrinth). The suction side is sealed with lip seal and a piston ring (labyrinth). These give a long service life and efficient, reliable sealing performance.Optional gas seal purging can be added, to give increased sealing performance in aggressive applications orwhile liquid flushing.
Performance Enhancement with Variable Speed Drive or Roots Type Boosters
The VS Dry Screw responds very well to the use of Variable Speed Drive withspeed range typically 20-60 hz giving excellent vacuum control and someincrease in pumping speed with 50 hz supply.
The use of Roots type vacuum boosters can increase the ultimate vacuum byat least 1 decade and increase the flow, typically from 2 to 8 times at highvacuum.
